The KW Siskins contest against the London Nationals scheduled Sunday September 22nd at 1:30 PM is dedicated to the memory of Harvey Huber who passed away suddenly a few months ago (April 16, 2024).
Harvey was entering his 40th season of volunteer service to the City of Waterloo, KW Siskins/Waterloo Siskins and the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (Mid-Western Junior Hockey League prior to 2007) where he held the following roles with the Siskins: President, Vice President, Board Member, Billet Parent and Volunteer Group Leader in the last decades of his life. Harvey and his wife Theresa were billet parents for decades providing guidance and support for over 30 young men pursuing their dreams.
Harvey’s Love of the Siskins and Love of hockey weaved its way through the Huber family. Harvey was first to organize a fan bus, support a fundraising activity or comment “what’s wrong with our power play?” He rarely missed a game.
Please join the Huber Family Sunday and celebrate the life of a Waterloo hockey legend.
