The Siskins have hired Matt Doyle as their new head coach for the 2024-25 season, taking the reigns from Pete Crosby, whom he served under as Associate Coach this past season.
Doyle, 33, spent the last season running the Siskins forward group. Prior to that, he spent four seasons as the head coach of the Huron-Perth Lakers U18 AAA program, culminating with an Alliance Championship in the 2021-22 season.
“It’s a privilege and honor to be the head coach of such a historical organization like the K-W Siskins,” Coach Doyle had to say of his hiring. “I would like to thank our ownership group for this amazing opportunity and our management for the faith and trust to lead this team on and off the ice.”
“Coach Doyle has shown an incredible ability to connect with his players and get the best out of these young men over his years of coaching,” General Manager, Brian Huddle, had to say. We look forward to him continuing that model here with the Siskins.”
